Question
Need some help with buying a PS?
Ive been told the GB PS is the best model to be released. I live in the UK and was looking to buy a GB PS off eBay. Shall I buy the GB NTSC model or the GB PAL model? Explain why.
Answer
The GB PS model is the best. It has Super Audio CD Support, Flash card readers, USB . ports and, most importantly, backwards compatibility with PS games. The GB PAL model uses Software emulation to achieve backwards compatibility whereas the GB NTSC model uses Hardware Emotion Engine. The Emotion Engine is a CPU developed and manufactured by Sony Computer Entertainment and Toshiba for use in the Sony PlayStation video game console.brbrAll PS games are region free and will work on whatever region of console you own. PSs are still regionlocked, which means a NTSC system wouldnt be able to play any UK DVD movies, Bluray movies, PS games, or PS games.brbrSubjectively, Id buy the GB or the GB model that is in stores now. In my opinion, the GB model isnt worth the price tag.brbrGood luck.
